Trix stood out in the middle of an empty Quidditch field, surveying the grounds to make sure they were suitable before the school year started. She had been the Keeper for her champion Slytherin Quidditch team, 7 years in a row, setting a new record. Now, she taught students not only how to fly on broomsticks but how to master the techniques of Quidditch.
She held onto her Nimbus Thunderbolt 4000, the new top-of-the-line broom, firmly in her hand, walking into the center of the arena.
Taking a seat on the broom, she kicked off the ground, zooming around the ground, stands and more. She floated down closely to the ground, letting her hand slide through the soft grass as she lied on her stomach on the broom, balancing perfectly.
Trix stopped, suspended in one spot, still lying on her stomach on the broom, her hand swaying back and forth through the grass serenely.
She turned over on her back, looking up at the sky. This was a skill she was very proud of. Most people couldn't balance themselves well enough to even think of doing what she was doing, let alone actually do it.

Suddenly, over her head he appeared, looking down at her face, and forcing a shadow across it, as his head blocked the sun. Marv was firmly on his feet, but she was low enough that he stared down at her, a signature smirk upon his lips.
"Liane, my fellow Slytherin," he said in a naturally cool, crisp tone of voice. "Would you be open to listening to a proposition of mine?"
His words seemed out of place with their setting, but seeing as it was about Quidditch, it was more appropriate than it appeared.
Akakios was off in the distance, rolling around in the tall grass; still uncut, and not yet all beautified for the new year. he then amused himself as he slowly played the predator, a ditsy-looking butterfly his prey.

Trix merely focused her eyes on the figure standing over her, not moving a bit. "A proposition you say?" She and Marvolo had been 'friends' for years. He first began paying attention to her when her father died while saving Black. She later became his best student, bringing them even closer, not that what you would call how they felt 'close'. Though, she was probably one of the few who truly had respect for him and vis-versa.
"Now, I trust you aren't wasting my time, Marvolo. After all, it is you and you rarely involve anyone in anything." An amused smirk played at her lips, her deep green eyes resembling the color of the lush forest that surrounded Hogwarts.

His smirk seemed to grow as his eyes remained firmly on hers.
"Your words are very true," Marv said, his tone almost Jack-Sparrow-ish. They were both aware of why and how her father had died, but unbeknownst to her, Marvolo had been literally only minutes from betraying her father and killing him anyway. This fact he'd obviously kept to himself, and much to his dismay, had only slightly haunted him since seeing her. he was better, though, than to dwell on it, and had moved on, however he supposed the fact that he was actually kind of nice to her stemed from some underlined, hidden guilt.
"We both know of your legendary dynasty... and quite frankly, givin my House, I'm not ready to go back to losing to the damn Gryffindors," Marvolo said. "So I'm wondering what you'd want in return for becoming the unofficial coach of my team?"

Trix felt her heart skip a few beats, though she hid it excellently. "Slytherin's coach, hmm?" She placed one foot up on the tip of the broom, folding her arms behind her head. "Have you discussed this with Elan? I'm not so sure he'd approve, after all, he didn't quite like it when I was a student playing for Slytherin, let alone coaching them." She sat up, on her broom, letting her feet rest on the grass gently. "I'd love to."
Her face showed hardly any emotion at all, except for her soft smirk, just as amused as before. "I hope you know that I'll be picking the members for the team on my own, if I am in charge. My decisions on who will be part of the team will be final, no matter what year they are." She wasn't asking him for permission, but merely telling him how things would go. She had captained her team from her fourth year until she finished Hogwarts, running the team in almost every way. This would be nothing new to her.

"Well, I'm under the same impression as you as far as Elan goes, but I'm trusting you're able to keep as good a secret as myself," Marvolo said, giving a small wink. "He'll be busy enough that that shouldn't be too hard, either..."
"As far as you running the team goes, I wouldn't be satisfied with anything else form you, Liane. Whip the kids into shape who need to be whipped," he finished. "Now. If I know you as much as I believe I do, you're not about to do this for me for free. Just name your price."
In the background, Akakios had grown bored with the butterfly, and now just lounged lazily on his side, his ears twitching as he caught Marv's conversation, as well as all the little obscure sounds of nature around him.

Trix took a few soft steps towards Akakios, placing her broom into Marvolo's hands. She knew he didn't want to hold it, but that was beside the point. He knew how she babied her broom, and she knew when he wanted something from her, he was willing to do much more than usual, so she would take advantage of it. "Akakios!" She put out her arms, watching as the cat leaped into them. His gentle purring rumbled against her skin as she stroked his soft fur with one hand, balancing him on the other arm.
"Really Marvolo? Am I that transparent?" The same smirk played at her lips as those few words escaped, knowing that he was right. There was a price to be paid. She just needed to stall until she could think of what she wanted. His proposition was so unexpected.

Marv held the brook, though put one foot up on it, and, with it still vertical, floated slowly towards her and his cat.
"As much respect as I have for you as an occlumens," he replied, wearing the same smirk. "...Yes."
He was further amused, yet no longer surprised as his cat made friends with the female. How he did it, Marvolo wasn't sure, but so far his charm had worked flawlessly on Audrina, Morgana, and now Trix. Shaking his head slightly at Akakios, said cat continued to purr in content.

Trix set Akakios down on the grass gently. "And as much as I respect you as a Legillimens, you'd better not be trying to get inside my head, or there will be hell to pay." She knew he tried it on a regular basis with her, but she just liked to remind him how she stood on the matter.
"As for my price..." She took a step towards him, putting a hand on her broom, standing closely to him. "Let's just say, we're even." She pulled her broom out of his hands. "Until further notice."

"Fair enough," he said as he willingly released the broom from his grasp.
He gave a quick whistle, and Akakios bounded up onto his shoulder, having used his loose cloak as good grip for his claws.
"As if there's anything you could do to me though." His tone was casual, and showed her teasing threat brought no fear.

Trix rolled her eyes, pushing him back gently. "Watch yourself, Black. I know where you sleep at night." She lied back out on her broom, moving around slightly, looking back up at the sky. "You should join my out here some time, it's quite relaxing. You might enjoy it." She closed her eyes, taking a deep breath before opening them again. "By the way, I've heard whispers about Elan working on a counter-curse for the newest of the Unforgivable's." She sat up, crossing her legs Indian style, still balanced on the broom. "And a little birdie told me that a certain someone used it on Elan, as opposed to the Dark Lord's wishes." She gave him a dangerously teasing glare, knowing he wasn't enjoying her playing his strings like this, but it was fun to get him going.
She gave Akakios a sly look, telling him with her simple look to just wait for the reaction. "I would never want anything to happen to you Marvolo." Her smirk stayed on her face, her expressions unwavering.

"Hah! You should know I've boycotted flying on broomsticks ever since they spited me back in my third year..." he said, shaking his head in pity. "...That guy was an asshole."
"And you hear right, however I made my decision on who to obey in that instance, and both Elan and the Dark Lord expect me to trust my judgement and know the prices, which I paid, and in which case I don't want you worrying about me," Marvolo told her.
"Besides, he'd have felt it eventually." This time, his smirk came back, and there was a dangerous glint that shined in his eye.
Akakios just seemed to give a low purr, and let gravity take him over as he hung uselessly over Marv's shoulder.

Trix nodded, placing her feet back onto the ground, taking a few steps towards him. "Trust me, Marvolo, you're the last person I'd even need to worry about. I know you can take perfectly good care of yourself." She tilted her head to one side, looking at him curiously.
"I hope you don't mean from me. You know I'd never steal the joy of harming Elan from you. I know how much that will mean to you." She looked down at Akakios, still smiling. "Don't worry Akakios, I know how much you want to, too." She scratched his head gently, patting him twice on the head.
"Now, back to our original order of business; did you have any students in mind for the team that I should take a look at?" She knew that she couldn't spare time in putting a team together, what with school starting in less than a month.

"Not you specifically, but just in general it would have been inevitable, considering Elan's position against the Dark Lord, along with how much the other Death Eaters are taking to the new curse," Marvolo replied, Akakios gave a bored meow.
"And my only request to you about the team is to avoid having relatives on the team, if possible, but most certainly don't take any students who are related to students on other teams," he told her specifically. "We don't want any sort of emotion ruining a team."

"Don't worry, Marvolo. You know how serious I am about Quidditch, and how much I dislike the other houses." She looked at him, her demeanor very serious. "Anything less than a perfect season is a failure." Trix set her broom down, pulling her wand out. She pointed the tip in Akakios' direction, a twisted smile playing at her lips. "Only for you, Akakios. Any other and I would toy with them, but you're just too special." She used the end of her want to scratch him behind his ears gently, loving when she was able to make him happy.
